Our Winnipeg dentists use natural-looking dentures to replace missing teeth as well as the gum and jaw tissue around them.
Dentures are artificial tooth replacements that allow patients with missing teeth to keep their face structure, eat properly and speak well. They can be used to replace one missing tooth, a row of teeth (partial dentures) or a whole jaw (full dentures).
There are two types of dentures, conventional and immediate.
To fit conventional dentures, your dentist will wait until any remaining teeth have been extracted (if needed) and your gum tissue has healed. This process takes about 4 to 6 weeks.
To fit immediate dentures, your dentist will have the dentures made in advance so they can be fitted right after the extraction process. In this case, your dentist will make any alterations required to the denture after the gum tissue heals.
Replacing missing teeth is essential to your oral health. If you are missing all or some of your natural teeth, dentures are an affordable option for replacing them. If you are interested in getting dentures or want to learn more, please contact our office to book a consultation.
