At Academy Dental Group, we want your visit to be as easy and stress-free as possible. We’ve included our office policies below for your review and understanding.
Our team is always available to help you in any way we can. If you have questions about any of our policies, feel free to contact our Winnipeg dental office.
Our team will notify you of your upcoming appointment two weeks prior to the scheduled appointment date via email, text, or telephone. We will re-confirm your appointment two days prior to your visit. We ask that you respond to our contact to ensure we know you will be in attendance at your appointment.
We understand that sometimes things happen and you may not be able to keep a scheduled appointment. As this time has been reserved for you, we do require 2 business days notice to avoid a missed appointment charge of $75.00, and so that we can offer that time slot to another patient.
We understand that dental emergencies arise, and we will do our absolute best to accommodate you as soon as possible. Any patients with dental emergencies are asked to contact our office as soon as possible.
We ask that all patients read through and understand their insurance policies. It is not always possible for us to access all the information concerning your insurance plan, as insurance companies are not obligated to disclose any or all information to us due to the privacy act. We recommend that patients verify their coverage with their insurance company and bring in their dental coverage booklet to their appointment.
Insured patients are encouraged to provide us the following information about their insurance policy:
We are an assignment office, which means that our dental office files the primary and secondary insurance claims on behalf of our patients and request that the insurance company pays our office directly for your services. Patients are required to pay any remaining balance, at the time of the appointment, if the insurance company does not pay in full.
If your policy does not allow payment directly to our office you are then responsible for payment of the full amount, at the time of your appointment. We will still submit claims on your behalf and have the insurance company pay you directly.
If you do not have any insurance coverage, we do require payment in full, at the time of your appointment.
It is our policy to provide patients with their statement of account, and encourage each patient to review and understand what treatment has been performed.
Our office offers payment plans for extensive treatment. We would reserve time with our treatment co-ordinator for you to discuss the options available to you, and you will be given a written estimate of the proposed services and payment plan options.
