It's in the family.
Throughout most of my teenage years and into adulthood, I worked in a dental office.
My brother and sister were dentists and I worked in their office. It was a great way to make some spending money and learn what it meant to work a whole day (actually my mom told me I had to do it!). I did everything from filing charts to working up to a receptionist role, and also doing some assisting for a while. I thought it was just a job, but I eventually came to realize it was an exceptional field to work in. My mom was happy about that!
I learned a lot about dentistry and about people. I loved both.
I eventually finished university and moved on to other roles in other industries, but still always working with and helping people. Fast forward about 25 years and an opportunity came about to keep working with people, but back in the world of dentistry at Academy Dental Group. I was very excited at the chance to be able to work in that environment again.
Academy Dental has been an extraordinary practice to work at with fantastic patients, friendly dentists and tremendously dedicated staff. Coming full circle to what I started when I was 15 years old has been a wonderful experience for me. I could not be happier to be doing what I love to do.
